Good news my fellow Australians (All let us rejoice)! To celebrate the release of WALL•E in Australia today (finally!), Birch, Carrol and Coyle/Greater Union Cinemas are giving Cinebuzz Club members a special offer.
That is, flash your Cinebuzz Club card if you see WALL•E at any participating BCC/GU cinema and receive a 20% off WALL•E merchandise coupon at K-Mart stores. The offer runs from today (18/09) to October 10, so get in quick.
The Cinebuzz Club is free to join and more information can be found here. Be sure to also check the WALL•E Merchandise thread at the Pixar Planet Forums to see what kind of goodies you might be able to pick up.

There is also a Wall-e Combo at Hoyts, where if you buy, you get $20 off the video game.
I’s finally out!! Huzzah! I just saw this at K-Mart today as well and was about to post it on the forum!(=
Also wanted to add that it’s also applicable at Village cinemas too!
Details at http://villagecinemas.com.au/Offers/Village-Cinemas-WallE-Offer.htm
Walle = dystopic film about global consumerism and mass-comsumption, distributed by Disney, and now incentivized by a discount at Kmart. This has got to be the most confusing collective consumer experience to date.
Next time I see it, I’ll probably go to a Hoyts, but it’s good to know about this cross promotion. Do they have a WALL-E popcorn and drink deal at any cinemas, you guys? Because I collect those plastic drink cups… I suppose I’ll just have to check when I see it next.
If you haven’t checked Toys R Us, go there NOW! They have the little plush buddies for $15 each (very cute), and a transforming WALL-E plush and a big EVE plush for $30 each. They also have the truck playset for $100 (but it will probably go on sale soon, knowing TRU.) Plus all of the other WALL-E figures that are at other stores.
Have any Aussies seen either the WALL-E PEZs, or the U-Command WALL-E? I’ve looked in several stores but can’t find them… I’d really appreciate any heads-up if you spot these, thanks in advance.
Have fun seeing the movie! =)
Anon – But the movie is getting the message out there about being careful about the effects of mass consumerism, but if no merchandise was involved, the movie wouldn’t have been released… so, does the end justify the means?
