Mater’s Tall Tales, a collection of Cars Toons, is set to debut on November 2nd, 2010!
DVDizzy has the latest details and cover art (seen right) from the upcoming compilation. The Blu-ray (and DVD) will include nine short films starring the rusty-but-trusty tow truck — two of which are brand new and exclusive to this release!
The never-before-seen shorts are titled "Mater, P.I." and "Moon Mater." A documentary featurette, "Unmade Tall Tales", will also be included along with a sneak peek at the upcoming Cars Land attraction at Disney’s California Adventure.
Speaking of all things "upcoming", it makes me wonder why Disney/Pixar decided to release Mater’s Tall Tales with Toy Story 3. Wouldn’t it be perfect to hold it off until next Spring in anticipation for Cars 2? By the way, Finding Nemo has been pushed out, but we may see its HD debut in less than a year.
Mater’s Tall Tales hits stores on the same day as Toy Story 3. Fans will have the option to purchase a Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack (SRP $29.99) or a stand-alone DVD (SRP $26.99). Pre-orders are available now.
Keep it here for the latest Blu-ray news. More good stuff coming up!

so is it just coming out on the same day or does it come with ts3???
Just on the same day. Sorry for any confusion. :/
That cover art’s a bad Photoshopped mess. It doesn’t look good. 😛
29 bucks for 38 minutes of entertainment? That’s the biggest rip-off Pixar has ever done! …In fact, the ONLY rip-off.
Why, Pixar? Why?
Chicken Man — I have a feeling it’s aimed at those kids who can’t get enough of Cars. You know, when you see this comment online: “My kid pops in the Cars DVD once each day…” This freshens things up. With that said, I’m excited to get it too! I <3 Cars Toons!!
twitches in anger FINDING NEMO PUSHED AGAIN?
Well my boy will be happy and so am I. Another easy winner for Santa’s list! Gutted about Nemo though. WHEN WILL WE GET THIS?!!!!!
Don’t get me wrong, I like the Tall Tales, but seeing Finding Nemo pushed aside yet again is rather depressing.
