Monsters At Work is the upcoming Monsters Inc. spin-off, streaming on Disney+ from July 2nd. Monsters At Work is the upcoming Monsters Inc. spin-off, streaming on Disney+ from July 2nd. We were already excited about John Goodman and Billy Crystal reprising their roles as Sulley and Mike, but we’re even more excited to hear that Mindy Kaling will be joining the cast as new character Val Little.

Val Little is described as an enthusiastic member of the Monster’s Inc. Facilities Team (or MIFT for short). We’re intrigued to see how she’ll be animated – she’s giving off Art from Monsters University vibes here. The other new characters are looking great too. Monsters At Work is seeing the return of lots of actors that have voiced characters in previous Pixar films (not just Monsters Inc.) – Alanna Ubach, playing Cutter, was the voice of Mama Imelda in Coco, and Mindy Kaling was of course the iconic Disgust in Pete Docter’s Inside Out.

It’s not just Mike and Sulley that will be returning characters with their original voice actors in this new spin-off series – Bonnie Hunt will be voicing Ms Flint, Jennifer Tilly will be voicing Celia Mae, and John Ratzenberger will be voicing the Yeti (as well as main protagonist Tylor’s dad, Bernard). Bob Peterson will be voicing Roze, Roz’s twin sister.

Tylor Tuskmon will be the star of Monsters At Work, a recent graduate from scaring school. We’ll follow the story of him adjusting to working at a laughter factory as opposed to a scream factory like he was expecting. We’re looking forward to seeing where the events following the end of Monsters Inc. will take our favourite characters, old and new.
