The brand new short series, Cars Toons, is speeding your way to three Disney owned TV stations.
You can catch the premiere episode Rescue Squad Mater, where Mater saves McQueen from a fire, on Monday, October 27th at 6:56 PM on Toon Disney. Then on Tuesday the second episode in the "Mater’s Tall Tales" series, Mater the Greater, in which Mater becomes an Evil Knievel like daredevil, premieres at 6:47 PM. Then on Wednesday, you can see the third ‘Tale’ in the mini-series, El Materdor where Mater becomes a bull fighter… bulldozer that is, at the same time as Tuesday.
These John Lasseter, Victor Navone and Rob Gibbs directed shorts will play throughout the day of November 1st on Disney Channel. Then on December 23rd, Cars Toons will play on ABC Family as part of the 25 Days of Christmas.
Remember to tune in at the exact times listed above (USA ET/PT) or you’ll miss ‘em! Of course, the episodes are expected to premiere online and possibly in front of Disney theatrical releases!

Not a fan of Cars, but I like the idea of the interstitials being added to the Pixar/Disney theatre experience, especially as it will build up the appreciation of short stories and the Pixar brand.
