Time writer, Richard Corliss, has written a lovely 2-page article today about Pixar taking a gamble with WALL•E.
To sell the project, Stanton had only his faith in the idea, and the collaboration of sound-design guru Ben Burtt, who would create WALL•E’s "voice" and most of the film’s other noises. But as Stanton recalls, "No one questioned this. They all knew it would work."
writes Corliss. Corliss also talks to John Lasseter an sound designer Ben Burtt about the film. Take a read here. Thanks Isaac.

Pretty sweet article! Thanx for posting this!
(Aha! EVE = Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator!)
I’m fearing spoilers here, but I’ll read after I see the movie.
Indeed, the idea of a sci-fi animated love story is one heck of a gamble, but crazy things can be some of the most beautiful, and I have a feeling this is gonna be the case for WALL-E.
