Pixar recently produced an online advertisement promoting the studio’s job opportunities for animators.
To all who dream of doing this, just do it. Submit your resume. Go on, click the link and do it. Don’t be scared or embarassed or let your self doubt about being “good enough” stop you. Let PIXAR decide that. YOU are the only thing holding yourself back.
Pixar is going to 2 films a year, so yes, they’re hiring a lot more people. 🙂
I wonder if they will be hiring technical people too? I hope so!!!!!!! As soon as I have a good amount of work for a portfolio, I’m applying for the undergrad technical residency! 🙂
Yes, I think you’re right. It’s probably in response to feature developments in Emeryville rather than Pixar Canada though. Pixar Canada is only looking for a handful of animators and their current space isn’t large enough to hold a huge team. It’s also competition between all studios to hire the best talent.
