Academy of Art University and SIGGRAPH welcome the public to a presentation of the animation and visual effect techniques utilized in Pixar’s “Cars.” Pixar Animation representatives Thomas Jordan and Tony Apodaca are slated to speak.

San Francisco (PRWEB) October 11, 2006 — The Academy of Art University is honored to have Pixar Animation Studios present the making of their latest feature film. The film, which marks another animated hit for Pixar’s Academy Award winning director John Lasseter (Toy Story, A Bug’s Life), started production in 2003 and was released in the Summer of 2006.

Speakers Thomas Jordan, Character Shading Supervisor, & Tony Apodaca,
Optimization Supervisor, will give an inside look at the amazing work that went into creating the visual effects for Cars. Please join us for this presentation at the Academy of Art University.
