Ratatouille Maquettes and Emile Clip

Upcoming Pixar reader, Billy, points out that the microscopiq blog has a couple of pictures of some maquettes from Ratatouille. The the owner of the blog, Jason Ellis, snapped them (that is before he guards caught him) while he was at the Design Life Now: National Design Triennial 2006 at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.

The characters appear to be, Chef Auguste Gusteau, Linguini, and Remy.

There were a couple others (including a giddily menacing chef) but the guards threatened bodily harm before I could grab those shots.

says Jason.

Billy also points out that IMDB has an Emile Rough Animation Test titled “Magic Trick”. Watch Trailer 2, to see the clip.

Thanks Billy for the heads up!

Hallelujah! We’re getting closer and closer every second of every hour of every day….

It certainly seems as if the figure on the far left is Auguste Gusteau, as he is situated in line with two major characters (Remy and Linguini).

Thanks for the information Billy and luxo jr.!
