Route 66 News, the one stop source for all news about the Mother Road, reports that Bob Moore, the executive editor of the popular, Route 66 Magazine, unveiled today the cover of the upcoming summer issue of the mag which will be featuring Cars.

The Summer 2006 issue of Route 66 Magazine features CARS, the animated film produced by Disney/Pixar. Beyond the opening story about the making of CARS, the article also includes an exclusive interview with Pixar Director John Lasseter, and how his road trip down Route 66 led to the creation of many characters in this film. Dont miss this special eleven page feature. On the news stands in June.
R66N also points out that a photo of John Lasseter at Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo during a Route 66 tour a few years ago can be seen at the magazines web site here.
