Once the pleased crowds left ShoWest’s extremely succesful Toy Story 3 screening, there was just one thing left standing…
Watch out for this brand new Toy Story 3 standee, seemingly held up by the gang from Andy’s room, at your local megaplex! In fact, I’ve heard that the display is already available at some theatres.
The picture of this new TS3 promo is from a ShoWest report by Peter Sciretta of SlashFilm. By the way, he absolutely loved the film and its preceding short.
Anyway, does this standee look a bit familiar? Well, unless you follow Lee Unkrich’s Twitter account or happen to live in Japan, you might not recognize where the image was used before. Actually, it looks extremely similar to the Japanese Toy Story 3 teaser poster!
I’m glad they’re bringing it to the US as a large cutout. My favorite part would be the Little Green Man holding up a Disney/Pixar flag.
What do you like most about this promo?

Ha! We’ve got one at my theater already. Got a picture of me leaning against it, so it looks like the toys are having a hard time picking it up 😀
Though, it was taken on my cell, so you can’t really tell what it is 😛 I am going to ask my theater if I can have it

We already have that at our theater, along with a huge poster of Woody and Buzz and two smaller posters (one with the “3” logo on it and another with the entire gang, including the Sunnyside crew). I’ve already got dibs on the “3” poster….
The Japanese poster says: “Can’t say goodbye.” Sayonara nante iie nai yo.
I saw this at my movie theater 🙂
