The brand new Disney fan club, D23 has launched today Tuesday, March 10th.
As you probably know, joining the club will also give you a subscription to the quarterly magazine Disney twenty-three, which as previously reported, has some exclusives on Up and Partly Cloudy as well as a tour of Pixar. Anyhow, the site has announced that members will be invited to a members only screening of Up at a yet-to-be-announced date.
Disney 23 is open for purchase to people 18 or over (but you can gift it to anyone of any age) and costs $74.99 USD to join, the good news is, there are lots of benefits for members. Find out if you’re "23" and keep it here for any developments.

$75.00 a year?!? Also, only one screening. So, basically, if it’s not in your city, you’re membership means nothing!
So I see they ship internationally, but where’s the love for international fans. Will there be stuff we can use?
bawpcwpn, I was just wondering the same thing since international shipping is a whopping $57.95, so that would make the total amount $132.94. I would pay that price without hesitation if I knew they were going to show an exclusive preview of Up at the Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris too. But now I find the price a little steep for just 4 magazines.
$75.00 bucks…. Pffff. The one thing that’s pulling me towards subscribing is the “members only” screening of “Up”. This entire D23 installation is, in itself, most intriguing, but the question is whether or not I would be willing to pay that much….
In any case, thank you for the information!
It never ceases to amaze me the way in which Disney thinks up ways to squeeze money from their fans – just look at all the goofy merch on the website! But at least Pixar is getting promotion from this magazine. US$60 to ship four issues internationally? Yeah, that’s reasonable. * eye roll *
Like Thomas asked, will there be any exclusive screenings in countries other than the US? Disney seems to be pretty US-centric (of which I understand) but it’s presence in Australia is hardly felt.
