Toy Story 3 and the City!

News

Although I have yet to see pictures of large Toy Story 3 advertisements in New York City (I’m sure something will pop up in Times Square soon), some great publicity has begun to appear in other notable urban areas recently.

Thanks to Lee Unkrich we get to see an image of a West Hollywood building with a banner featuring Buzz Lightyear! This exact location seems to be one of Disney’s choice spots for promoting their films in larger than life ways. I find myself looking forward to what the studio will put up next so naturally this got me pretty excited!

Move up to Northern California and you might see this Buzz billboard located in San Francisco. Hopefully the advertisement won’t cause too many car accidents from distracted drivers staring at the mega-sized space ranger in the middle of the highway! But in all seriousness, this must be quite a sight to drive by.

Now take a plane accross the Pacific Ocean and land in Sydney to see these life-sized versions of Buzz and Woody made of fiber glass! Notice the date under the Toy Story 3 logo reads June 24th. I’m sure all of you in Australia are excited that the wait won’t be too long this year. Our new friends Damon and Kay sent these pictures over from their local theatre — thanks!

Have you seen any unique (or unusually large) Toy Story 3 advertisements around your city? If so, send us links to the pics.
