Toy Story is 10

News Pixar Toy Story

Today the Toy Story gang turned 10. And to celebrate that day, the Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition DVD.

Ultimate Disney has a HUGE in-depth review on the anniversary DVD.

Quoted from the start of the review:

“This review has taken nearly three weeks for me to finish. That’s about as long as any DVD review has ever taken me, and it is not merely due to scheduling conflicts or oversight. Toy Story is one of those handful of films that I have seen countless times and in which I cannot find any fault. The idea of writing something new and brilliant for a movie on which so much has been written has posed me with quite the dilemma.”

The review goes on and it is only good comments with plenty of screenshots such as this one from the claw game.

And this one is Woody and Buzz in different forms from the special features.

This one shows from left to right: Pete Doctor, Andrew Stanton, John Lasseter and Joe Ranft.

The article says:

At the start of the disc, the standard serving of Disney sneak peeks play. What distinguishes this batch is the first preview, a 2-minute look at Cars, Pixar’s next (and potentially last) feature distributed by Disney. It’s hosted by director John Lasseter and is more encouraging than the debut teaser that was met with some skepticism when it played in front of The Incredibles in theaters and on DVD. Animated News reports that on December 26, the Toy Story 2 Special Edition DVD will be getting a simliar treatment as the Toy Story Anniversary Edition did with the Cars featurette.
