Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will premiere in Disney Digital 3D this September at the 66th Annual Venice International Film Festival.
The 3D presentation of Toy Story is expected to screen on Sunday September 6th at 2:45 followed by Toy Story 2 framing the Golden Lion ceremony. To make the premiere even more special, key Pixarians will be winning awards right after the screening for their lifetime achievement and their huge roles in creating Pixar films!
As you may remember, it was announced late last year that the talented individuals who will be awarded with the "Golden Lion" are John Lasseter, Pete Docter. Andrew Stanton, Brad Bird and Lee Unkrich. The VIFF press release has quotes from the directors as well as more information on the events such as The Princess and the Frog extended footage and a class on animation with a Q & A panel.
