As everyone knows, teens don’t always make the best decisions — especially when it comes to media awards shows.
So in the flood of Twilight, Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus wins (not that there’s anything wrong with them) one has to wonder if serious contenders for major awards ceremonies could compete at this years Teen Choice Awards. Basically what I’m trying to say is, I know these awards aren’t anything to pararde about, but do vividly show what the 13-18 demographic are into currently. It seems as though the teens of America have good taste in summer comedies this year.
Pete Docter’s second film won out as the Choice Summer Comedy this past Sunday at the awards show just for teens.
Ironically enough Night at the Museum 2, which premiered a week before Up, won as the Choice Comedy. I don’t know what makes NatM not a Summer movie if Up is… Rant aside, this is still a great win symbolically.
I can’t wait to see how the big awards shows and critic’s circles treat Up in the upcoming season. It’s getting close! Congratulations: teens love you too, Pixar!

cough cough WALL-E won the Hugo Award beating out The Dark Knight, Iron Man, and Hellboy 2 a few days ago. Hadn’t seen anything about that on here. Andrew Stanton even posted on Twitter about it.
I’m a teen! And I already loved Pixar 🙂
I know, I know. The Hugo post is coming up!!! I can’t post everything all at once I have a life y’know! 😛
And I’m a teen too! 🙂 I’m referencing other teens, not pre-existing fans, like us.
Summer comedy? It should be in the category “Summer high-spirited emotional comedic action-adventure”. XD
