Upcoming Pixar Reviews Toy Story 3: The Video Game!

News Toy Story 3 Video Game

For many of us film fans, disregarding the latest movie-based video game is a religious practice.

After playing Toy Story 3: The Video Game, I can’t say that I think that way anymore. In fact, I was hooked on Disney Interactive and Avalanche Software’s latest once I picked up the controller at Pixar. Finally getting my hands on it for the Wii has got me even more excited!

The playable accompaniment to Pixar’s latest does right what so many other movie-based games do wrong: It expands on the story without copying the film. After all, the main criticism I’ve had for these type of games is that I’ve already experienced the movie, so how can playing through it enhance such a gem?

The story mode in Toy Story 3: The Video Game, a 3D platformer/puzzle expansion of the upcoming film, is action-packed yet only satisfactory. But the real value is in the game’s Toy Box mode.

I can easily describe this aspect as sincere and plain old fun. The Toy Story series highlights the spirit of play, and that’s also your objective here. Completing missions in the free roaming mode allows you to unlock treasures while exploring the unique world of a child’s imagination.

If you’ve ever wanted to control the fate of the gang from Andy’s room and create a Toy Story world of your very own, this game is for you.

Toy Story on your terms is available now, order your copy at Amazon.

Have you picked up the game? What did you think?
