WALL•E is still going strong this Labor Day weekend were it racked in an estimated:
$218,343,000!
The long weekend did great for WALL-E which made almost 1.5 million dollars in 4 days after 67 days in release domestically. Our favorite little robot is now officially in the top 10 highest grossing animated films of all time (number 9 in CGI) and it’s still got a few more weeks to go!
Overseas WALL-E stands at $175 million (according to ScreenDaily) with major territories such as Japan waiting to open and Australia starting to have preview screenings. The lovable trash compactor opened on top in Denmark and Norway and had the biggest Pixar opening ever in Singapore!
We should see WALL-E end somewhere in the mid-220 millions in the US and Canada.
Have a good Labor Day!
Totals are in: $218,447,803!
Congratulations on a great weekend, Pixar!
Wow, so worldwide we’re almost at 400mil? SUHWEET!
Awesome!
WALL-E! Keep on rollin’ on!
Hah, I could have contributed to that Labor Day total if the buses in my town were in service. But NOOOOO.
awsome blog!
Sure it looks like A good enough number at 218 M.,but what will the Disney suits think about it, will it be value to them, only time will tell, you never know what to expect from the Disney suits and Shareholders thinking.
now that Dreamworks Kung Fu Panda isn’t doing as well as they thought it would, maybe now Dreamworks will stop going the CGI way and try another Traditional animation movie, opps never mind Dreamworks dont know what that is anymore, but then again im not really Impressed and over Joyed with another Princess movie from disney next year in 2009 ether.
hey I wanted Disney to return to Traditional Animation but I wasn’t thinking Princess fairytale I was thinking of A fairytale, but atleast it will be good for the girls and princess lovers, but it’s not for me.
I’ll wait till the next Lion King or Mulan,Aladdin,or original ideas like Lilo and Stitch comes along,im patient enough to wait it out, really I can.
