As of Monday the 21st of July, 2008, and after 24 days in release, WALL•E has brought in a fantastic $182,732,709 in the US/Canada.
This is a total of $17,212,754 more than Ratatouille at the same point in release. It appears as if WALL•E will have a minor setback with the release of The Dark Knight, which itself brought in over $158 million in its opening weekend.
Another update in a week.

A gentle comment,Thomas, but you forgot to put commas on the total of $17,212,754. Also, ‘The Dark Knight’ brought in $158 million in it’s opening weekend, as the actual numbers came in today.
Again, I’m sorry I keep pointing these types of things out to you, and if I seem like an annoyance, that certainly wasn’t my intention.
And we are officially in the black! Good! And the movie shall make more with toys and when DVDs come out and internationally. Looks like it’s a hit!
You may also want to mention it broke its production cost.
Minor setback? Are you kidding? The Dark Knight was THE film of the summer, if not the year. It’s reviews are top-notch. Wall-E was only half good, in my opinion. The love story was good, but the fact that Earthlings become overweight duplicates of each other is heavy-handed and too political for a Pixar story. Enough with the Eco-stuff already. It’s bad enough a Pixar film was tainted by it. I was very disappointed by Wall-E and I am an honest to goodness Pixar fanatic.
WALL-E and The Dark Knight have extremely similar reviews, and if you are going to bash a Pixar movie, this is probably not the place to do it. The only thing setting them apart is box-office, and The Dark Knight happens to have two huge advantages, it’s an established brand and it’s a sequel so that’s out of the question. WALL-E is doing great anyways, consider it’s an original movie and it’s in an extremely family friendly summer. 😉
What’s so wrong with having an environmental issue adressed, anyways? And if you were a true Pixar fanatic you’d know that the environmental themes were all story vehicles, not preachy messages. What other (believable) explanation do you have for humans leaving Earth? Also the humans are fat because, in reality, that would happen to you in an extended stay in space.
I’m not saying The Dark Knight is bad or anything, I haven’t seen it yet and I definitely plan to, but I hope it’s not as dragging as Batman Begins.
Oh, and WALL-E was amazing. 😀
