Both Rotten Tomatoes and Box Office Mojo have weighed in with their opening weekend box office predictions for both WALL•E and Wanted.
Even with Kung Fu Panda’s recent success, parents are still eager to bring their kids to something fun and light as summer vacations start and this is the right product at the right time. Prospects for repeat business look rosy too.
says RT. Box Office Mojo have higher expectations however. They think WALL•E will gather, compact and spit out approximately $67 million. RT add that although since The Incredibles Pixar have seen opening weekend grossings decline, they think the tide will shift this weekend.
From where I work over the summer (a camp) I know the advertisements got worked, the kids can’t wait. Word of mouth will just give it that extra push.
I believe, Thomas (bawpcwpn), that they’ve seen opening weekend numbers decline since The Incredibles (It had a slightly bigger opening than Finding Nemo). I would certainly love to see the numbers boost up again, since Ratatouille had the lowest opening weekend ($47,027,395) since a A Bug’s Life ($33,258,052). Heck, I’d be content if WALL-E ends up pulling in over $55 million.
Thanks for the correction Bill 🙂
