Brave‘s release is only about a month away! In preparation, Disney has been working to promote the film and to tie it into the company’s various branches.
Merida Meet-and-Greet Premieres at Walt Disney World: We previously caught a glimpse of Disney Parks’ Merida face character, but the Fairytale Garden in the Magic Kingdom has finally been renovated for Merida’s upcoming debut. Although it doesn’t officially open until next week, Inside the Magic has put up a gallery of images from the meet-and-greet area, clearly heavily inspired by the film. (Via Pixar Times)
Brave to Join Disney’s World of Color: According to the official Disney Parks blog, a Brave-inspired segment will be addedto Disney California Adventure’s
World of Color attraction on June 15. Expect a visually stunning show that will place Brave among the likes of WALL-E, Finding Nemo, and Up.
Disney Store Updated with Brave Merchandise: As with all Pixar productions, Brave is set to launch with an assortment of consumer products inspired by the film. Check out a selection of toys, clothing, books, and more based on Brave on the Disney Store website, but beware of spoilers. Though not as expansive as the merchandising for Toy Story or Cars, Brave still has a solid line-up of products; I particularly like the journal inspired by the family’s tapestry.
New Brave Character Bios: The three lords and their sons have consistently provided entertaining comic relief in the trailers for Brave. Bios and character art for each of them have premiered over at Coming Soon; the Celtic designs accompanying each are very inspired. Brave hits theatres on June 22.
Have the products and tie-ins beyond the film made you more excited for Brave?
