Special Report: Up Book Guide

Today we have a special article by a very special guest writer, Pixar Planet’s own rachelcakes1985! As a follow up post to My Name Is Dug, Rachel writes about the upcoming books for Pixar’s next movie, Up:

With Up just around the corner details of several books have been released and they’re about to hit the shelves near you.

There’s the read-aloud hardcover storybook (with free poster), Little Golden Book, and junior novelisation – all titled "Up". With the next two books, the focus turns to Dug and Kevin in "Beware of Dug!" and "Bird’s Best Friend", respectively. A reference guide being released with color images and information from the film is called "Wilderness Explorers’ Guide" (see image), with 3 sheets of stickers, a must-have for any aspiring explorer. Then there’s "Spirit of Adventure" a Stepping Stone reader that tells the whole Up story from Russell’s point-of-view. Lastly, "Wild Life" and "The Sky’s the Limit" are two coloring/activity books with scenes from the movie ready to be scribbled on by budding artists and Up fans alike.

With the exception of "Wilderness Explorers’ Guide", which is being
released on April 28th, all of the above books will be available in the
US on April 14, 2009. Prices range from US $2.99 to US $10.39. Keep an
eye on the Amazon links above for images that will be added to the
pages, and to pre-order the books now.
