Earlier this year, Pete Docter talked about Up running just under 90 minutes without credits.
Now we have full details on the feature’s runtime which is, drum roll please: 1:36:06! To answer some other questions about the upcoming flick, Up will be presented on 5 reels at a 1.85:1 flat aspect ratio. Let’s not forget the accompanying short Partly Cloudy which will be running for 5:45 and the trailer for The Princess and the Frog which will run for 2:32! Check out the logo designs from the openings of each piece, to the right.
The full program clocks in at: 01:44:23! That’s about 104 minutes of Disney/Pixar fun! Don’t forget to pre-order tickets on the Up website!
(Thanks, One Movie, Five Views/via Pixar Projection)
Note: Once the full Pixar Projection site goes public we’ll bring you news on the projectionist contest and show you some brand new pictures from the page!

How did you get these if the page isn’t up yet?
Sorry , I can’t disclose that information. Hope you understand. It should be UP very, very soon! 🙂
man I’m I geek for this sort of stuff, I loved how WALL-E was 2.35:1 just like 2001: A Space Odyssey.
This is just too much! The tension is building! I need to see the Princess and the Frog trailer now! 🙂
Actually, 2001: A Space Odyssey was 2.20:1—precisely what Kubrick wanted. It was shot in Super Panivasion 70. There ARE 35mm prints that project the film at 2.39:1, but only by chopping off the top and the bottom of the image a bit—not good.
