Another week, another Weekday Box Office update!
Yup it’s back and you can expect it every week until box office dies down. But with the legs Up seems to be showing, that won’t be any time soon!
After a prosperous weekend, and a minor upset in which Up was initially believed to be the #1 movie in America, I’m glad to report Pixar’s 10th is still going strong! Here’s how Up is doing in the weekdays of June 8th-June 11th, updated daily:
Monday: $4,705,586
Tuesday: $4,902,788
Wednesday: $4,718,743
Thursday: $5,125,891
Today’s cumulative box-office brings the film to: $156,663,709
Notes and Predictions: I’m sure this week will end at around $155 million if not a little less. Expect the weekend to be extra prosperous, surely breaking the A Bug’s Life mark set at $162,798,565 making Up the 9th highest grossing Pixar movie so far!
Mini Up Round-Up: Some links to check out after you soak up Up’s success, we may add some minor stuff throughout the week. Here’s a great interview with Pete Docter from Animated Views. It’s different than most because it delves into little nods, symbolism and references found throughout the film even the Upisodes! Thanks, Jeremie!
Update: Learn more about the K-9 unit that helped make he voices of the Alpha Pack in Up! The Contra Costa Times article can be found here.
Keep checking back each day for more!
