As the Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3D Double Feature inches closer to its Friday release, Disney and Pixar keep on premiering more and more top notch promotional clips.
Let’s start with the big one. Apple Movie Trailers debuted a new promo advertising Toy Story 3 — but it’s not the full trailer! It’s actually an awareness ad, starring Buzz and Woody, about recycling 3D glasses. It’s extremely funny as Buzz tries to cross over to the "third-dimension." You’ll find it titled rather strangely as "Internet Trailer" at the previous link.
Moving on to Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Walt Disney Pictures Backlot released an exclusive video on their Facebook fan page to promote the two week limited engagement. Much like the promo we posted yesterday, this one not only includes specially made footage, but also a clip from Toy Story 2. It’s the Buzz Lightyear video game intro, yet another perfect scene to showcase the potential of 3D in these films.
You’ll also find a similar featurette on Disney.com‘s home page video player. It’s the second clip from the top entitled "Toy Story 3D Double Feature." Watch as Mr. Potato head hilariously experiences 3D’s unique effects.
The clips don’t stop there! Yahoo! Movies also has an exclusive preview featuring the Little Green Men in their own 3D experience. You can pretty much guess what happens when the claw appears to pop out of the screen… This ad also features a full clip from Toy Story in which Buzz mistakes the claw game for an actual rocket. Be warned, the claw may even chose you!
While you wait for Friday to come along, choose a clip from above and get ready to laugh out loud! Enjoy!

Great! Thanks for posting all these updates the past couple of days!
The clip with Mr Potato Head experiencing the effects of 3D, is being used in the TV advert in the UK for the 3D reissue of Toy Story. We’re not getting them as a double feature over here, which means we’ll probably miss out on those extra bits Pixar have created. I was hoping we might get a short (maybe one of the new Cars Toons), but no reviews I’ve seen (all glowing!) mention anything like this, so I doubt it. I’ll find out when I see it this weekend!
