With Cars 2 a little over two months away, I thought I’d switch things up a bit. Here are the headlines Mater towed in today.
Three Vintage Cars 2 Posters Premiere: With each new Pixar film, I always seem to look forward to the eye-popping "vintage" posters released. CinemaBlend.com has obtained high-resolution images of three brand new one-sheets. The Cars 2 posters were seen hanging in the atrium when we visited the studio, although I’ve never seen them in detail like this!

Coming Soon’s John Lasseter Q&A: How did the rising price of gasoline affects Cars 2? Where did the spy-angle come from? All this and more has been answered in great detail thanks to ComingSoon.net’s Q&A with Cars 2 director, John Lasseter.

Mater’s News Tow-In; keep it or dump it?
Last modified: April 7, 2011
I love the new simplified covers…I secretly thought the older ones we a bit too busy.
Are the Cars posters done by the same guy who did the UP posters, Paul Conrad?
Anon #1— I like them both in their own ways, but I’m really digging the continuity of the new covers.
Anon #2— Not sure, but I’ll ask if you’d like.
Oh yeah, I liked the old covers as well, the simplicity is refreshing though, isn’t it? – Anon #1 =)
any news on when the new re-packaged Ratatouille is supposed to come out? 🙂
Please keep it at Woody’s News Roundup. TOY STORY LIVES ON FOREVER!!
Second to Last Anon— It’s all in the post. 😉
“… of Ratatouille on Blu-ray (re-released July 5, 2011) for example…”
Last Anon— Will do! Thanks for the feedback.
I am really diggin’ those vintage posters. Lookin’ forward to the Q&A! Not sure if I’ll read it now or wait until after the movie comes out. I don’t want to be spoiled too much!
And keep the Mater’s News tow in for this movie. I like it!
No!!! You can’t replace Toy Story!!!! D:
I do like the continuity of the cover art, but I hate that they didn’t realease TS3 like that in the first place, because I won’t be buying it again just for that unless it’s in like Ultra HD or something
They’re releasing WALL-E on blu-ray combo pack on July 5th, too.
