Critics have been giving WALL•E great reviews since its release, and now they’re showing how much they love the stranded little robot with awards, awards, awards!
1) The Washington, DC Area Film Critics Association has named WALL•E the best animated film of the year! Check out Variety for other winners.
2) The LA Film Critics Association has named WALL•E, Best Picture of 2008! This marks the first time an animated film has gotten that prticular award. Ironically, the top animation prize went to Waltz with Bashir, see the rest of the winners here.
3) WALL•E has been nominated for the Best Picture award in this years Critic’s Choice Awards. It has also been nominated for Best Animated film and Best Song (Down to Earth). Presented live on Vh1 (01/08/09),full list of nominees here.
4) The New York Film Critics Circle has awarded the Best Animated Feature prize to WALL•E this year! The rest of the winners are listed here.
