Yesterday January 8 was the first day Disney-MGM Studios opened under its new park name "Hollywood Studios".
"The name change has been a long time coming," said Rick Munarriz, senior analyst with The Motley Fool. "There was a time when Disney needed MGM for properties like ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘James Bond.’ But Disney is at a point where all the big movies are Disney or Pixar.
