Brigham Young University celebrated the announcement of a new Center for Animation with Pixar president, Dr. Ed Catmull reports Deseret Morning News. Catmull spoke of teamwork and rising above challenges, as well as detailing the production of A Bug’s Life and Toy Story.
Pixar and BYU have an agreement where they hire three to four animation graduates each year, and also send their own employees to the University to mentor students.
"All of a sudden, in the last few years, we have found BYU has risen to the top," said Catmull. "BYU has an extraordinary program here."
