Pixar’s 3D conversion of Finding Nemo, the studio’s first since the Toy Story and Toy Story 2 double feature back in 2009, arrives in American cinemas today alongside the latest Toy Story Toon, Partysaurus Rex.
The 3D re-rendering has been well received by critics, giving the nearly decade-old film a new spark of life; Nell Minow from the Chicago Sun-Times writes, "As Marlin, the little clownfish looks for his young son, Nemo, we feel the bleakness of the ocean’s overwhelming size and power. And when Nemo is captured, we experience the claustrophobia of the small aquarium." Of course, now’s a great time to catch the movie again with the recent confirmation of Finding Nemo 2.
