Today’s Oscars luncheon was packed with major talent including Pixarians such as Andrew Stanton, Ben Burtt, Pete Docter and Ed Catmull as well as Pixar contributor Thomas Newman and Bolt directors Byron Howard and Chris Williams. At the event, each nominee got a certificate of nomination, let’s hope that’s not all WALL•E leaves with come February 22nd…

Andrew Stanton is in the first standing row, 4 people to the left of the statue. The three people between him and the statue are Penelope Cruz, Anne Hathaway, and Taraji Henson (lucky dog!). Above them are Ron Howard, Robert Downey Jr., Sean Penn, and Marissa Tomei. Mickey Rourke is back row middle. Chris Williams is in the top row furthest to the left. Pete Docter is standing next to him with a short man sandwiched between them. Byron Howard is standing on the right end of the second standing row immediately behind Ed Catmull who, if I am seeing this correctly, is the only man wearing jeans and sneakers. I believe that John Stevenson, one of the co-directors of Kung Fu Panda is in the top row 4th from the right. I also think that Doug Sweetland is in the 3rd standing row, right hand side in the brown jacket.
Viola Davis is in the red dress next to Amy Adams in a light blue dress standing in the second standing row on the right side. Danny Elfman is standing immediately behind Amy Adams. Kate Winslett is in the first standing row 4th from the left (hugging the other woman). Michael Shannon is in the back row with the blue shirt underneath the “81st”. Melissa Leo is standing next to Byron Howard. Josh Brolin is in the second to last row underneath the “EE” of NOMINEES. Frank Langella is next to Sean Penn.
Those are all of the big name actors and directors that I recognize.
