Here at Upcoming Pixar, we’ve been pleasantly surprised by the abundance of Brave tidbits coming from all directions.
The teaser trailer, film stills and concept art remind us that Brave will be a visually stunning movie, but hopefully we’re not alone in wanting to learn more about the story. In a recent interview with Scotland’s Daily Record, director Mark Andrews elaborated on the upcoming film’s plot— beware of possible spoilers:
"It’s all about the relationship between a mother and daughter, and how this young woman has problems with her mother. When she has a problem with her mother over marriage, she gets a magic spell to try to stop her mother bothering her with the suitor business. But it actually changes her mother into a bear."

Brave opens in theaters on June 22, 2012.

I agree with the first commenter. Sounds like a Brother Bear re-imagining. Not saying it won’t be good. But I imagine that “Mother Bear” nickname is going to stick.
What is this? The sarah palin “mother bear” story? Let’s hope it’s not THAT dumb!
so aperently she shot her mother in the chest with a bow and arrow in the teaser trailer
