Each year, Pixar launches a special website designed to give theatrical exhibitors instructions on projecting their films in the highest quality possible. The site has been revamped just in time for Monsters University, and, among other things, it confirms what we’ve unfortunately been expecting: rather than upholding Pixar’s teaser tradition with a trailer for The Good Dinosaur, we’ll instead be getting one for Planes. Oh well.
Even if you’re not a projectionist, there’s a ton to check out on the Pixar Projection site, including a special message from MU director Dan Scanlon. It also confirms the exact lengths of The Blue Umbrella (6:43) and Monsters University (1:43:39). Be sure to give it a look.
Expect a teaser for The Good Dinosaur later this year in front of Disney’s Planes or Frozen. Monsters University, on the other hand, hits North American theaters tomorrow!

Later this year?! Ahw man 🙁 Well it’s better not to rush things. I hope that’s a good sign.
I’ll have to watch the teaser online, ‘cause I DON’T want to see Disney’s rip-off on Cars.
i like this move & 3d works.
I’m not too disappointed, and it does make sense considering we are still 11 months away from The Good Dinosaur. But anyhow, I’m still excited for when the teaser DOES come out, I’ve been really curious to see what the film and characters will actually look like! After all, it’s about dinosaurs still living in modern times. 🙂
