Our pal at The Pixar Blog recently alerted the fan community of Disney Store‘s latest, exciting Toy Story Collection pre-orders!
Jessie, Mr. Potato Head and Lotso are all coming your way very soon! I know many of you have been asking about these particular characters in the comments section, and I’m glad I can finally address the questions with great news!
As Toy Story Collection products, you can be sure that they’re movie accurate and contain great features that you haven’t seen before:
First up is the most requested ‘Collection’ toy thus far, Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl! Straight from Pixar’s digital files, Jessie has everything from her signature yarn hair to her western hat. Switch between toy cowgirl and Jessie mode to hear over 33 pull-string phrases. Woody’s sidekick officially arrives on June 1st retailing for MSRP $59.50, pre-order here.
The newest incarnation of Mr. Potato Head will be introduced later this month. This figure substitutes extreme accuracy for awesome features, but that’s probably why I’m most excited for this one. The spud chats with you… until you take his mouth off. 
He comes with moveable and removable parts. But the best part is that if the tater gets snappy you can scream at him to watch his body parts fly off as he literally gets scared to pieces! Mr. Potato Head arrives on May 12th, 2010 retailing for MSRP $59.50, pre-order here.
Last but not least is the previously publicised Lotso plush, complete with 45 sayings. Yes, he smells like strawberries! The pink teddybear is also ticklish and will love you forever… if you hug him, that is. You can own the star of Pixar’s latest viral videos on June 1st, 2010. Don’t forget to browse around the Disney Store’s site to find smaller gifts from Toy Story 3. Your local toy/department stores may even be carrying action figures and other goodies!

This is the most exciting news I’ve heard all day! It’s great that they are expanding the Collection, and I’m so happy they included Lotso. He looks adorable, and they are both an absolute must have! Not to mention Mr. Potato Head as well 🙂 I’d like to meet “Mr. Angry Eyes!!!” Hahaha
I’m considering Bullseye though I’ll go through Amazon since they have much better prices.
There are new TS3 lego sets out on store shelves as well.

What is the story with Potato Head’s one eye? I’ve seen him in Toys R Us, he’s awesome, but I cannot bring myself to buy him because his eyes are not separated. There has to be some story about Hasbro’s lawyers and a hissy fit somewhere.

Anonymous, safety standards prevent them from doing separate eyes. they would be choking hazards if separated. the good news is that he has 2 eye sockets, meaning you can make or buy your own custom eyes and he wont have a hole between the eyes.
Also, not sure why this post says Mr. potato head will be introduced later this month, he’s out now, and I own him.
Kyle- I’m sure other stores have him out now, as they always seem to defy “release dates.” These are just the Disney Store pre-orders, if you check the link I provided you’d see that it says they’ll have it on 5/12. Please direct your complaint about my dreadfully inaccurate post to Disney Online.
It’s kind of funny how you think I can patrol every store across America. Like Mr. Potato Head, I only have one set of eyes. 😛

but seriously, I don’t expect you to patrol every store. but a number of people have posted their pics of there’s on your forums, I figured you’d at least have seen that by now. No biggie, just informing people. I wouldn’t listen to anything the Disneystore site says. Mr. P was on shelves before he was even listed there.
Haha, you got me there, although he can only use one set at a time, which is what I was referencing anyway. But next time, please remember that there are some things I can’t control and complaining about it on the blog just comes off as rude. I also don’t check the forums as much as I should, and for the record, I have no control whatsoever over them. 🙂 Thank you.
