Radio Interview with Pete Docter: Pete Docter talked to Doug Fabrizio of Utah’s RadioWest KUER 90.1 about his upcoming film, Up!

Docter talks about everything Up, including the inspirations for the film, the lessons we’ll take from it and it’s 5 years of development. Among the topics discussed are character designs, where he details Carl, Russell and Ellie’s dynamics and how they work together to move the story along. He also talks about directing the voice actors including funny stories about Jordan Nagai (Russell) and Ed Asner (Carl.)  Pete Docter even reveals who will be playing Ellie (Carl’s childhood sweetheart and wife), his own daughter!

All this and more can be heard in this monumentally informative and enjoyable 50-minute radio chat, which you can listen to here.

Preview Screening of Up in Houston: Houston, Texas is the next lucky city to get an advanced screening of the highly anticipated Pixar film, Up!

If you’re in the area, click here to print out your ticket (for two) valid for a free screening of the senior citizen action adventure in the sky. The movie is in the middle of the day, at 2 PM on Thursday, April 16th at Edwards Grand Palace, 3839 Weslayan St. in Houston, Texas. Get there early because it’s on a first come, first served basis and space is limited.
