Only 3 films can get nominated this year since there were 8-16 films submitted. Above are my predictions as to who may get noms. We all know who I’m rooting for…

The Academy will announce the 3 nominees on Thursday, January 22, 2009 and we’ll see if WALL•E nabbed the award on on Sunday, February 22, 2009, the night of the 81st Annual Academy Awards! Enjoy the press release here.

And more nominations: WALL•E is one of the three movies nominated this year for the 2008 People’s Choice Awards‘ Best Family Film category. It’s up against Kung Fu Panda and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Voting ends December 7th, 2008 and the awards show is exactly one month later on January 7th, 2009.
Go on… sign up, vote (for WALL•E) and have your voice heard!
