WALL•E Gathers $62.5 Mill

Box Office News WALL-E

Final estimates are in for opening weekend and it sources are reporting that WALL•E has brought in a grand total of $62.5 million and number one at the theatre.

This has hit the base of expectations as earlier estimates said anywhere from $62 million or higher. When final numbers are in we will see if it placed behind or ahead of Monster’s, Inc. opening numbers as Mike and Sulley are on $62,577,067. WALL•E is still ahead of Cars opening numbers which opened on $60 million. WALL•E will have the 3rd or 4th highest opening box office numbers of all Pixar films to date.
WALL•E also had the highest opening day for a Pixar film to date with approximately $2.6 million more than the next highest, The Incredibles.
WALL•E did cost $180 million to make reportedly, the highest yet for any Pixar film, so it will have to take in a considerable amount over its release to be deemed profitable.
Great results!
