WALL•E Takes Home "Best Animation" at BAFTAs

Andrew Stanton Awards News WALL-E

Andrew Stanton recieved an Orange British Academy Film Award for Best Animation today.

WALL•E beat out Waltz with Bashir and Persepolis, two films that generated big buzz. But there was no bigger buzz in animation this year than with WALL•E, and the countless awards it has won shows it. The 9th Pixar film was also nominated two other times, for Music and Sound, but unfortunately didn’t win.

Either way, this is big for our favorite little robot and the geniuses at Pixar, we congratulate you!

Note: WALL•E also won the Children’s BAFTA Feature Film Award (winners can be seen here) in which it went against Horton Hears A Who, Stardust and another Pixar favorite, Ratatouille.
