WALL•E Wins Another One For Humanity!

Awards News Pete Docter WALL-E

In 2008, WALL•E proved to the world that sometimes the most human character of all can be… a robot.

That philosophy has been further solidified today with the film’s Humanitas Prize win. Andrew Stanton, Jim Reardon and Pete Docter (WALL•E screenwriters) garnered the most talked about award of the ceremony for their feature film screenplay!

Humanitas Prizes are specifically given to "honor TV and film writers whose work enriches human understanding." Life imitates art once again, doesn’t it!? Just like WALL•E changes the world in the movie, the actual film itself has made a similar impact. It’s also nice to see awards keep on coming for little, old WALL•E!

A big congratulations to the talented team!
Fun Fact: When Jim Reardon accepted the award he noted that during development WALL•E used the codename "Johnny Humanity-Seed" to keep the writers on topic.
