I thought I’d share a brand new Up display featuring the poster and some binoculars…
The cut-out is now in theatres (you really can’t miss it) and has been attracting quite a bit of attention. Put your eyes up to the binoculars and press the red button to watch the trailer for Disney•Pixar’s 2009 comedy-adventure! So, next time you’re at your local megaplex, look up and around for… UP!
This is shaping up to be very interesting marketing for Up, let’s see how they take it to the next level in the SuperBowl…

Has anyone actually tried it? I’m wondering that if it’s like binoculars that you look into, if it’s in 3-D. It could be, since like in a view master, you would be able to have the effect of seeing a slightly different image with each eye. It would be cool if they thought of this, and it was in 3-D…

I took the picture above and did try the binoculars, as I said, you look in and there’s a screen that gets activated by a red button. The trailer plays in 2D, but it still attracts tons of curious people, that’s pretty good, and the display looks great.

That’s very creative. If it attracted a lot of attention, then Pixar/Disney marketing are certainly doing their job. I hope this comes to one of the cinemas I go to when I see Up. I still say that Disney should hire a Skywriter and write “UP May 29” over the sky in popular American cities.
Also, you do realise because of the name of this blog, you are going to have to temporarily redesign the blog to tie in with the release of Up, right? =P
