Yesterday, Disney held their Annual Shareholder’s Meeting in Oakland, California (which is right by Emeryville.) After the meeting, Disney stock rose way up, not surprising since Bob Iger and co. talked up the company excelently!
Some Pixar related highlights include:
• The board talked about their visit to Pixar (where it was reported Up was previewed in 3D and clips from Toy Story 3 were shown!!) and they recognized the culture first hand. That’s a very good thing that the Disney board appreciates Pixar’s unique environment.
• They celebrated WALL•E’s big win at the Oscars 2 weeks ago.
• Up was previewed for the audience with a brief synopsis and was recieved with a great reaction.
• A little girl asked about Cars 2 and if Mack was in it, the answer was, I don’t know "but he better be!"
